The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a St. Michael's Benefit Dinner on Saturday, September 11 in the St Mary Parish Hall. The doors open at 6 p.m. with a cash bar. Dinner will be served at 6:30, and the program will start at 7 o’clock. Tickets are $20 each. Tables of eight with guaranteed seating are available for $160.
Proceeds from this year's event will benefit Veterans Path to Hope (formerly TLD Veterans), and the Rosecrance Florian Program. These two organizations provide substance abuse prevention and mental health assistance to uniformed service personnel (active duty and veterans) and first responders in need. St. Michael is the patron saint of the military and first responders.
The menu will feature Fr. John McNamara’s famous meatballs, plus penne pasta, sausage and peppers, salad and bread. A gluten-free option will be available when ordering tickets. Beer, wine, soft drinks and water will be available for purchase.
The Knights of Columbus was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.
