Welcome to Spring 2020 Windchill (formerly known as Debu-Taunts) Registration!!

Below is all the information you will need to successfully register for the MNRD Recreational League!

We intend to host 12 Sunday practices this session, beginning in mid-January. The exact start date will be finalized and announced mid- to late-December.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE: barring any restrictions from not having space at either the Roy Wilkins, River Center Exhibit Halls A/B, or some off-site location (ex: Wooddale Fun Zone, Skateville, etc.), we intend to hold practice from 5:30pm-8:00pm on Sundays. The practice will look like this:

5:30 Get to practice and enjoy off-skates warm-up
5:35 10 min Off-skates warm-up led by league member
5:45 15 min gear up time!
6:00 10 min Group skate / warm-up
6:10 break into assigned groups (4 - 25 min rotations for track time)
7:50 Closing announcements while stretching

**We want to emphasize timeliness and a sense of urgency throughout our practice. Please plan on being on time!!**

Optional Skills Practices: We offer 8 Tuesday skills nights in addition to the regular practices; these are optional and are in addition to the Windchill regular Sunday practices at an additional cost. These practices are intended to give skaters the opportunity to spend a little extra time practicing skills learned during the regular Sunday practices. Skills practices will not include contact-based skills or a scrimmage portion and are open to all skating levels.

Tuesday skills nights are not required.

The cost for Skills practices will be $40; this allows you to attend all 8 of the Skills practices (or as many as you are able). Practices will be held on Tuesdays (6:00-8:00pm). Exact dates will be announced periodically as we receive information regarding space availability. The practice will look similar to the Sunday practice structure.

Recreational League cost:

Spring Session Recreational League -Sundays only - cost: $75 + processing fees.

Spring Session Recreational League - Sundays + Tuesdays - cost: $75 + $40 + processing fees

Additional cost:

WFTDA Insurance: Womans Flat Track Derby Association insurance is a secondary insurance you are required to have to participate in our recreational league program. You must have active WFTDA insurance prior to the first practice to skate with the recreational league. WFTDA insurance costs $80.00 and is active for one year from the date of purchase.

Skaters that participated in Fall Session 2019: You purchased WFTDA insurance for the fall session, so you will not need to do so again until next fall.

Returning/New skaters to the Recreational League: In previous sessions we have rolled the insurance into our fees and have purchased it for you. There have been changes to the way WFTDA insurance can be purchased which is why this can no longer be done. We have adapted to these changes and now ALL skaters will have to create a WFTDA account and purchase WFTDA insurance on their own before the session begins.

The WFTDA website has a wonderful guide on how to do so.

Here is how to find it:

·         Go to the WFTDA website (https://wftda.com/) and across the top click Insurance

·         Hover over Membership and select Membership Portal

·         Scroll down and select – Member Portal Login and access instructions

o   This is a full set of instructions on how to create an account and purchase WFTDA insurance.

Below are the last of those WFTDA instructions that you will find online. Pay close attention and save this information:

“Follow the prompts to complete your purchase. Once complete, you will receive a confirmation of your order email. Retain the email for your records.

Proof of insurance: Insurance is no longer linked to a specific ID, but your coverage can be verified using your record ID, found in the confirmation of purchase email, as well as on your Member Portal Home page in the top left corner.” - PURCHASING WFTDA INSURANCE USING THE MEMBER PORTAL

You will need to print off this confirmation email or be able to show us the confirmation email on the first scheduled practice day. You will not be able to skate until we have verified your purchase of WFTDA insurance.

The timeline for registration is as follows:
