Session Description:
Have a smartphone and/or a tablet? Did you know that you can use these everyday technologies to assist in your training and sport development? What is video analysis and how does it help you on the field or snow, and even in the gym? Samantha Ebata, CSI Pacific’s Performance Analysis Lead, will explore strategies and tools of performance analysis that will assist you in using and applying these techniques to your own training. Performance analysis is a very broad term that encompasses multiple disciplines, primarily focused on the areas of biomechanics and notational analysis. Embedded within these two disciplines is the use of video analysis to analyze human movement patterns. Samantha will focus on teaching you how to use up and coming sport technologies and simple tools like an iPad to enhance your training environment, in addition to discussing the do’s and don’ts of video analysis. This is an area that has the power to change the way you learn and train, so you won’t want to miss out on this valuable information! If you’re able to join us in person, you’ll even get the chance after the discussion to have some hands on experience.
