Sport Discovery Community Try-It! - Cross-Country Skiing [Single Try-It!] February 27

We are happy to announce that our partnership with the City of Prince George and the Community Associations is still strong and will allow us to continue our very successful program. 

We are also proud to support the Physical Literacy movement of our City with the Play for Life Prince George and making some of our Try-It! events accessible with the partnership with the Northern Adapted Sports Association.

In this year's program, we are introducing mini-programs of 4 to 6 weeks as well as having our regular single event Try-Its!.

Try a new sport, Cross-Country Skiing, hosted by the West Bowl and Blackburn Community Associations, the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club and Engage Sport North. This beginner Cross-Country Skiing Try-It! event - offered through the Sport Discovery Community Try-It! program - provides an opportunity to try and participate within a new sport. Following the 2019 World Para Nordic Skiing Championships in Prince George, participants can also try one of the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club's sit skis and experience the sport in a new way. 

This event is offered at no cost. Participants do not need to bring equipment, as the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club will provide the equipment needed. Please wear appropriate warm clothes with a minimum of three layers. You do not need to live in the area where the Community Association is located to participate in this event.

The event will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start to get your equipment ready.

Minimal age to participate is 16+ years old.
