It's on!

Spoon Jam 2018 is happening on the 3rd and 4th of November in beautiful Pambula NSW.

For our third annual spoon carving festival we have five teachers, including two very special guests from the US: Peter Follansbee and Alex Yerks. Both Peter and Alex are masters in their field and they will be at Spoon Jam sharing their knowledge, skills and stories with 60 Spoonjammers!

Joining Peter Follansbee and Alex Yerks will be three Aussie teachers: the awesome Peter von Trott from Lauriston VIC, Brad van Luyt from Sydney, and me.

This year we have a new venue in Pambula NSW, with camping on site, toilets, hot showers and beach access to beautiful Merimbula Bay.

Your ticket to Spoon Jam includes:

Access to the site, workshops for all levels, demonstrations and talks.

Access to the awesome free carving area with a spoon library, collection of spoons by some of the world's best carvers, and rolling documentaries and instructional DVDs.

As much tea and coffee as you like.

A spotlighting tour of the coastal bush for Spoon Jammers and families...yellow bellied gliders live here!

And of course entry into the now legendary Spoon Jam egg and spoon race :)

Your ticket doesn't include:

Camping fees. This is charged at $20 per person per night, payable on arrival (cash only). There is lots of local accommodation locally, including a hotel and apartments within easy walking distance to the site.

Tool use. Spoon Jam is a BYO tool event. Tools can be bought or hired on site, or purchased before at the Spoonsmith store

Food - please BYO lunch, we hope to have snacks available for purchase on site.

This is going to be spoontastic :)

Jeff Donne is one of Australia's best known spoon carvers with many years of carving and teaching under his belt. He teaches the traditional method of spoon carving where a small axe and a sharp knife are used to slice away layers of wood from a freshly cut log. It's pure analogue bliss!
