Sponsor Application - The cheerLEADERSHIP Summer Intensive 2018

The CheerLEADERSHIP Summer Intensive is a fully immersive leadership experience hosted by Black Girls Cheer that is designed to aid young black cheerleaders as they step into their purpose both inside and outside of cheer. Showing black girls that they are valued for their contributions in cheerleading and society is one of the most important aspects of building leaders.

The theme “Welcome to Wakanda” will serve as a programming aid that reinforces positive self identity through empowering black female images and provides a model that celebrates their shared african culture and background. The intensive will include targeted curriculum centered around developing the whole athlete through engaging the mind, body, and soul.


For some of these athletes, finding the means to participate in this sport can be difficult. From purchasing uniforms, beauty supplies, competition fees, and camp costs, cheerleading can become a financial burden on their household. In a sport that asks so much from these passionate young ladies, both physically and financially, reinvesting in their development and well being will serve as a great contribution to our society as a whole. With your sponsorship, you will be able to lower the cost of attendance and provide scholarships so that these young black girls can participate in this unique experience that will strengthen their sense of self identity as they grow into our next generation of scholar athletes and leaders.
