"Splattering Gathering" 2018

The Expressive Therapies Center is excited to announce our first fundraiser of 2018: A “Splattering Gathering”! This is an awesome opportunity to not only create a personal piece of artwork but to contribute to a larger, group project as well! 

All funds raised will go directly to the Expressive Therapies Center and the creation of our new Therapeutic Photography program headed by Alexandria Mitchell, a Fine Arts student at the University of Toledo. 

BUT WHAT IS SPLATTER PAINT?

Splatter Paint is an art style in which you do just as it sounds. Splatter and flick paint against a canvas to create abstract pieces. Jackson Pollock is an example of a famous artist who was known for this style. It is a simple yet incredible, unique and creative form of self-expression. 

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?

The event will take place the Expressive Therapies Center of Toledo building during the OWE Festival The Price of admission includes one canvas, paint, and “splattering instruments” to create a unique work of art!

Admission Fees: 
$12.50 per person if you sign up before 5/19/2018
$15 at the door
