Join Us for a SPF-PFS Celebration
You are cordially invited to participate in an event to celebrate the accomplishments of Ohio’s SPF-PFS Initiative.
Ohio’s Strategic Prevention Framework Partnerships for Success (SPF-PFS) Initiative began in 2014 with a grant award from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The SPF-PFS was designed to support Ohio’s rural and Appalachian communities as they worked to build a culturally- competent and sustainable local infrastructure to reduce underage alcohol use and prescription drug misuse among young people.
Over the last 5 years, Ohio’s SPF-PFS Initiative has focused on increasing the access of Ohio’s rural and Appalachian regions to evidence-based prevention services by building workforce capacity and prevention infrastructure. The SPF-PFS grant will conclude at the end of September, and we would like to celebrate the accomplishments of Ohio’s sub-recipient communities, provide updates, and express appreciation to SAMHSA; the SPF-PFS Advisory Committee; State Epidemiological Outcomes Workgroup; Evidence-based Practices Workgroup; and the Committee for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for their guidance and commitment to the initiative.
