Palm Bay Magnet High School , 101 Pirate Lane, Melbourne, Florida, 32901, United States.

NOTE: this academy is intended for those that have been working with PBL and have some previous experience.

ARIE PBL academies are going on the road! We'll be bringing project based learning and methodology to engage as well as excite teachers and administration alike.

This three day event will help you continue your PBL journey and prepare any teacher to become PBL gurus.

Our trainings are unlike anything else that is offered because all our staff are current PBL practitioners in 100% project-based learning STEM school. Our personal knowledge and experience were gained over the last 12 years of opening and running two 100% PBL STEM campuses, Manor New Technology High School and the recently opened Cedars International Next Generation High School. Cedars Next Generation High School opened in 2016 by ARIE founder and trainers as the global model in PBL. It has become a place for showcasing quality project-based learning methods and innovating PBL practices, with a staff made of experienced PBL educators and ARIE trainers.

The advanced training session offers an opportunity for participants with experience and prior training in project-based learning to take their practice to the next level, with the help of our staff of expert PBL practitioners. Sessions are designed to help refine and improve all elements of project-based learning implementation, based on common struggles and need to knows that PBL teachers experience. Participants are given the opportunity to identify and reflect on their own challenges and successes in their own practice of PBL. A key aspect of this training is the Meeting of the Minds, where participants showcase an element of PBL that they have developed and used in their own classroom. This is a chance for participants to learn from each other and exchange ideas about what is working in their own classrooms. As part of the session, all participants are asked to bring a piece of a project, or the entire PBL project, that was successfully implemented in their own classroom. By the end of this immersive training, participants will gain the skills and knowledge to dive deeper into their project-based learning practice and PBL Project management to develop rigorous and engaging projects that ensure equitable learning for all students.

You will need to bring any technology you wish to use for the training. A tablet or laptop is strongly advised for this training as you will be creating your first project as you progress through the three days.

A multi day event where educators and administrators learn how to bring project based learning to their classroom, school, district or state through project based learning. This is not a sit and get, you will have one or more projects ready to use when you return to your institution. Be ready to be challenged and be ready to engage your students in a way that builds lasting results.
