Clarice Jackson Gibson was a member of Delta Chapter (Los Angeles, California), Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated. She was renowned for her hostess skills and often hosted sorority events in her Los Angeles home. She assisted her husband, Ben Gibson, in forming the CEP Boosters in support of the sorority. She was elected the first African American Western Regional Administrative Vice President of the National Postal Professional Nurses. Several years after her passing, the Southwest Region, Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated. established the Clarice B Gibson Scholarship in her honor.
