Join us on Saturday, July 20th, from 10 am – 12 pm to learn about everything that is sour beer from Gavin Harper (Master Cicerone®) and two guest speakers Matthew Garcia (Owner and Head Brewer for Homage Brewing in Pomona) and Bryan Doty (Owner and Head Brewer for Sour Cellars in Rancho Cucamonga).
Gavin Harper has been an educator since 2001 doing consulting work for local breweries, as well as teaching at colleges, accredited vocational schools, and private lessons.
Harper says, “Education isn’t simply giving you information to memorize that you will eventually forget. First-class education shows you so that you remember, and an exceptional education involves you so that you understand.”
In this two hour seminar, you will learn about traditional sour beer including the history, notable regions, styles, and notable brewers. You will learn about American sour beer making methods, the culture of sour beers in America, and the terminology used to describe varying flavors and aromas.
Included in this educational seminar, you will get four tasters of some of their specialty sour beers. Whether you are a craft beer enthusiast, home brewer, or studying for a beer certification, there will be exciting topics for everyone to enjoy.
Come support your local breweries and get a beer education at the same time!
Our previous events have been selling out, so secure your spot and get your tickets today!
See you July 20th!
