Park Central Branch Library, 128, Springfield, MO, 65806, United States.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND THIS EVENT! It is put on by The Green County Library on Saturday June 15 from 1030am-12pm. Take a to-scale walking tour of the solar system with Becky Baker, instructor from Missouri State University's Physics, Astronomy and Materials Science Department. Start at the Sun (Park Central Branch, 128 Park Central Square) and work your way across the solar system, learning about the planets, their moons and other celestial bodies and spacecraft as you go. The walk concludes with activities and crafts at everyone's favorite dwarf planet, Pluto (The Discovery Center, 438 E. St Louis Street). The stations will be up through Aug. 3, so stop by the Park Central Branch to pick up a travel guide and take a self-guided tour throughout the summer.

Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks

http://www.dsgo.life

The Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks was originally created by six families wanting to make a difference in the lives of their children with Down syndrome. With their ideas, the leadership of Lynn Neidigh and the support of both the St. Louis & Kansas City groups, DSGO officially became a 501 (c)(3) in 2006. We have come a long way but know that there is still much more that we can do to make our mission an everyday reality. Your donation of time, talent, in-kind service and/or financial support all plays a huge part in our continued growth. Join us in making a difference!
