At this meeting of all Indiana Soil Health Partnership farmers and their agronomists, you will:

-Get to know the other Indiana SHP farmers and their agronomists

-Discuss your soil sampling results

-Hear about the AgSolver program (which is available to you for free)

-Give your feedback on the year to date

-Prepare for harvest data collection

-Discuss Field Days and other topics of importance to you

The meeting is free and lunch will be included. We will reimburse farmers and agronomists for mileage.

The Soil Health Partnership brings together diverse partner organizations including commodity groups, federal agencies, universities and environmental groups to work toward the common goal of improving soil health. Over a period of years, the SHP will identify, test and measure farm management practices that improve soil health while benefiting farmers and the environment. Hans Kok is a field manager for the Soil Health Partnership covering Indiana and Ohio. Hans was an associate professor at both Washington State University and the University of Idaho, covering Extension programming for conservation tillage and bioenergy. Prior to that, he served as the state extension specialist for soil and water conservation for Kansas State University, and he worked as a conservation tillage specialist for Monsanto. Dan Towery is also a field manager in Indiana. Dan served on the International Soil & Water Conservation Society board for 6 years. He has served as the Illinois state agronomist, and 10 years at the Conservation Technology Information Center located at the Purdue Research Park as staff agronomist.
