Kochian County Office Building- Training Room 802, 600 South State Street, Syracuse, NY, 13202, United States.
The NYSDOH is hosting a training session for a case management software system created by ImageTrend called Envoy. This training is available for free to all coroners, medical examiner and county software administrators throughout New York. Envoy will allow coroners and medical examiners to electronically document all information on their cases, and easily and efficiently run and share reports on these records. Envoy’s purpose is to help you organize your cases; it has the additional benefit in making responding to requests for data faster and easier, along with allowing you to understand your data. Training sessions for coroners and medical examiners will include insight in navigating the software and will provide you with efficient ways data from cases can be collected and entered into Envoy.
Leading the training sessions will be Rachael Renneisen from ImageTrend, who will introduce and navigate the software step-by-step with the audience. Accompanying Rachael will be Kitty Gelberg, Associate Director of the New York State Department of Health’s (NYSDOH) Office of Drug User Health, and Megan Almanzar, Project Coordinator with NYSDOH. The audience will also learn about the benefits Envoy provides such as better and faster reporting, reducing the need for physical data storage and allowing easier access to case files. By the end of the training, coroners and medical examiners will have knowledge on how to create, upload, add to, and share their cases with those who are permitted to view cases within that county. Training sessions for local software administrators will be hosted in the afternoon of the other trainings for coroners and medical examiners. Software administrators will learn how to add and regulate users and will also learn to add external agencies to the software such as hospitals or toxicology laboratories. Training sessions will also be available as webinars for those who cannot travel. To receive information on the webinars, please email Megan.almanzar@health.ny.gov
