The aim of the seminar is to provide an overview of how to use social media in a professional context for both Permanent Missions as well as individual diplomats. Gisella Lomax, Head of UNHCR's global social media team, has kindly agreed to kick-off the debate with an interactive presentation on the use of social media in a UN context. The seminar we will also showcase examples of how the EU Delegation and individual Member States in Geneva communicate via social media and give hands-on advice for representatives of Permanent Missions how to join the world of digital diplomacy.

The seminar is open to all staff of EU Member State Missions and EUDEL (all levels) and we encourage participation not only from colleagues dealing with communication issues but also from diplomats responsible for policy files.
