SKATEBOARD SUMMER CAMPS
Park & Rec has teamed up with Skate the Foundryto provide a skateboard camp for both new and moderately experienced skateboarders, ages 7-13. Camp is held at the Munro Park Skate Spot and participants will receive a Foundry T-shirt. Students must provide skateboard (no penny or long boards allowed), signed waiver, helmet, wrist, knee and elbow pads, water bottle and Covid facemask. Max 12 skaters/session
Camp held Mon-Fri, from 9:00 AM-Noon
Session 1: July 11-15
Session 2: August 1-5
Fees: $350/person/session (limited to 12 skaters)
During each session, the beginner skaters will learn skatepark etiquette, skateboard safety, basic skate skills, how to ride, use of ramps, maneuvers, and more. More experienced skaters will learn technical tricks, such as grinds, aerial tricks, and flat-ground maneuvers. Every participant will learn social skills be coached on how to mentally persevere through tricks which require repetition. There are no make-up camp days available when a participant misses a day. When Skate The Foundry cancels a day due to unfavorable weather, we will make up the missed day by extending the time length of the remaining camp days. Feel free to purchase needed equipment from Skate the Foundry store, 120 Yorktown Plaza, Elkins Park.
