ICE Bahrain Committee

We would like to cordially invite you all for our site visit to Bahrain LNG project on Thrusday, 25th May 2017 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Site Visit to Bahrain LNG Project 25 May 2017

You may be aware that construction works are underway at the planned ‘Bahrain LNG Project. When complete, it will provide an importing facility for LNG comprising an offshore floating jetty for the berthing and offloading of LNG and an onshore treatment facility for treatment of gas prior to distribution to the Bahrain networks. It is one of the largest construction projects in Bahrain at present, although works are only at an early stage at the site.

Noga holding has kindly permitted us a site visit and, moreover, permitted us to squeeze it in before Ramadan and the hotter summer months. The visit is therefore arranged for next Thursday 25 May 2017 between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. It is open to all full and graduate members of the ICE and other interested parties should spaces be available. It will also probably be the last site visit before autumn.

The visit will take the form of a project overview presentation at the site offices with the construction leads and Q & A session followed by a walking tour of the onshore construction site and temporary facilities of the two main contractors and observe the offshore works from a suitable vantage point.

Again, this event is expected to popular and spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Therefore, if you are interested, please advise to me by email by return and no later than Monday 22 May 2017.

As usual, there is only a limited supply of PPE on site, attendees are to bring their own safety helmet, safety boots, hi-viz vests and glasses (if you have them). However, if you do not have PPE please let me know.

Map and further details to be circulated to final list of participants.

Yours Faithfully,

John Barnes
