The SHM Oregon/ SW Washington Chapter will be hosting a Point-of-Care Ultrasound Course on Wednesday, April 26th at 4:00 p.m. PT at Salem Hospital in Salem, OR. Participants will be introduced to the concepts of handheld ultrasound and it’s application. They will practice on models scanning heart, lungs, and abdomen. Each participant should plan on being a model for their colleagues to practice their ultrasound skills and dress accordingly.

Dr. Johnson has been a hospitalist practicing in the Northwest for 20+ years. He has a special interest in applying POCUS as an adjunct to the physical exam and supporting clinical diagnosis. He uses POCUS in his daily practice and has been teaching colleagues POCUS skills for over 5 years.
