Please join the Department of Public Health and the Metro Water District for a septic workshop between Environmental Health District Directors and Onsite Managers, wastewater utilities, stormwater planners and local government planning and zoning departments. 

 

We will discuss:

  • septic system coordination
  • septic and the Metro Water District Water Management Plan
  • examples of best management practices around the region

The workshop is free and includes lunch. Due to space limitations, please send only one person per department.

This free coordination workshop will begin at 9:30 AM with a meet and greet with coffee and light refreshments. Lunch will also be provided for all participants. Due to space limitation, please send only one person per department.

Free parking is available onsite at the Georgia Association of Water Professionals building.  

Since its creation in 2001, the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District (Metro Water District) has implemented one of the most comprehensive regional water management plans in the country. It is staffed by the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) and includes 15 counties and 93 cities. It is the only major metropolitan area in the country with more than 100 jurisdictions implementing a long-term comprehensive water management program that is required and enforced.
