Opportunities for youth engagement through youth voice, choice, reflection, and leadership can be created through quick, easy, and fun activities during your virtual program sessions.  This workshop will enhance your confidence and skills in creating an engaging virtual program space by exploring best practices and activities that engage students effectively in a virtual setting. This session will be facilitated by Jonathon Haynes, a Recreation Program Coordinator with the Austin Parks and Recreation Department.

 

To prepare for this workshop, please: 

  • find a quiet space with limited distractions
  • wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in
  • be prepared to turn your camera on (the training is more effective with cameras on)
  • bring a notebook or looseleaf paper, a pen/pencil, and a pair of socks
