SCC Hawaiian Luau Dinner and Show
Saturday, April 18th, 5:00pm
Tia's Royal Islanders at 7820 E. McDowell Rd, Mesa
Hosted by Bill C. Ng & Marie Camacho
Back by popular demand! The weather should be perfect with a cool breeze, blue skies and warm sunshine. It is time to celebrate Spring! And what better way then to visit our personal Hawaiian Island in the desert. So, shake the dust of your grass skirts, use this as an excuse to shop for a new colorful Hawaiian shirt and bring your coconuts to have fun in the sun with your Scottsdale Corvette Club Family and friends.
Did you notice that I did say “Friends”? Just as last year, this is a rare occasion in which family and friends have been approved to join together. You have the opportunity to invite another couple, whether family or friends, to join you and experience the fun we have within our Club.
So, come learn hula dancing, drink a Mai Tai and see some warrior dude eating fire. This wonderful dinner event will also include a show with a live band, dance floor, lovely hula ladies and exciting fire dancers. Last year, some of you actually told me that this show was better than ones they have seen on the Hawaiian Islands.
Our island adventure is being held at Tia's Royal Islanders located close to the Loop 202 and McDowell Rd in Mesa. This family comes from the Samoan Islands and has presented Polynesian culture, entertainment and food for over 30 years.
The food will be a buffet which includes pulled pork, Hawaiian BBQ chicken, vegetables, beans and, of course, Hawaiian macaroni and cheese. Then we will top off our dinner with a luscious and delicious Guava Cake for desert.
After dinner, you will be entertained with live music from the islands, lovely ladies expressing the beauty of the art of hula dancing representing each style from the different islands. The men will be performing as well with an exciting ending performance of fire dancing. As, if that were not enough fun and entertainment, guests will be invited onto the stage to learn the art of hula as well.

This event will start at 5:00 pm and will run until 9:00 pm so you can stay and continue partying with friends after the dinner and show. The total inclusive charge for this dinner and show is only $60 per person. All attendees must be minimum of 21 years old, drinking age.
Why this stipulation? Surprise! Marie and I were able to get this event to be a BYOB (only wine and canned beer – no hard stuff). But, because they usually do not allow BYOB events, we suggest you bring your own wine glasses unless you do not mind plastic drink ware.
So come join all your SCC Family and Friends and register as soon as possible, as only 60 people can attend. Even if Sold-Out, however, get on the Waiting List as slots may open up (or I may be able to extend attendance if enough on waiting list).
Looking forward to sharing the spirit of Aloha with you. Click on the following link to join your SCC “ohana” (family) in all the food, fun and entertainment.
