Learn about a special kind of embroidery: Sashiko! Choose 2 traditional patterns to stitch to make into coasters or something else of your choosing (e.g., a patch, pocket or piece for a larger work). You'll learn how to stitch Sashiko patterns and how to use this popular method to create visible mending for clothing and home items. This is a relaxing and useful activity and one that will produce beautiful things! 

Class Includes:

  • Instruction for Sashiko stitching techniques
  • Two fabric coasters of your choice
  • Fabric backing for coasters to sew in the studio or to take home
  • Sewing kit that is yours to keep (special needles and leather thimble)
