FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: Is there a cap on runners?

A: Yes - We will only accept 300 Half Marathon Runners, 100 10K runners and 200 5K runners.  We are capping total runners at 600.

 

Q: Can strollers/pets/kids run?

A: Yes, this is a family event- all are welcome.

 

Q. What time does the run start?

A: The Half Marathon will start at 0700.  The 5/10K will stagger shortly after.

 

Q. Will there be water stations/bathrooms?

A. Yes there will be both along the route.

 

Q. Did anything change from last year to this year?

A: The route is the same but the medal and shirt changed.

 

Q. Can I exchange my shirt if it doesnt fit?

A: Sorry, all shirts are final

 

Q: What if I change my mind or need to cancel, are there refunds?

A: Typically no; however we can discuss emergencies, TDY etc.

 

Q: What if it rains?

A: We will run- rain or shine

 

Q: When is Early Packet Pickup?

A: You can pick up your packet (and a friend/spouse) on 14 March (1530-1830) and 15 March (0900-1100) at the Kadena USO (near Gate 2).  You can also pick up your items the day of the run between 0615-0645!

Team Kadena First Sergeant Council

Organized by the Team Kadena First Sergeants Council. All proceeds go to support the Airmen of Team Kadena. To be transparent, we wanted to share with you where your money is going when you sign up for our run. As the Team Kadena First Sergeants our #1 Priority is taking care of Airmen (Big A). This run is our only fundraising event we do for the year and below are just a few things we support: The Annual Honor Guard Recognition Ceremony, The Wounded Warrior Luncheon, The Veteran's Day Parade The Air Force Ball, The LGBT Pride Month, The Asian Pacific Heritage Month, The Enlisted Village, Annual Dorm Bashes, Annual Enlisted BBQ’s, Okinawa Cleanup Events, The Annual Awards Ceremony, The DFAC Birthday Meal, The SNCO Induction Ceremony, The CCAF Graduation, The Diamond Sharp Monthly Recognition as well as Helping Agency Support Recognition efforts. Our Association is also a part of Operation Warmheart (OWH) where we sponsor Thanksgiving Meals, The Angel Tree Program, Hardship loans and Random Acts of Kindness. We thank you for your consideration and hope to see you out! We know that each one of you work hard for your money and we assure you the funds received from this run will go to a great cause in taking care of our Airmen!
