Nearly 30 years since the introduction of Nickel Titanium Rotary Files to endodontics, we’ve learned much about the clinical strengths & limitations of these great instruments. With recent improvements in metallurgy, enhanced designs, & innovative rotary file motions, we need to understand how these changes affect clinical instrumentation. In parallel to improvements in instrumentation technology, root canal obturation has been revolutionized in the  area of cement/sealer technology. These obturation improvements allow more efficient obturation techniques at lower costs. Combining improvements on both instrumentation & obturation front allows us to create more       efficient instrumentation & obturation techniques that are safe, simple, & predictable. Dr. Fleury will address these points with specific emphasis on access, irrigation, instrumentation, & obturation & demonstrate a  simple   instrumentation & obturation system.  Attendees will gain a full understanding of this instrumentation & obturation system improving the predictability of cases while dramatically reducing instrument separation.            Participants will have the opportunity to validate these concepts during the workshop. Plastic blocks will be used for this demonstration. If available, participants are encouraged to bring sterile accessed & canal validated extracted teeth representative of the kind of cases they do clinically. PLEASE NOTE: wisdom teeth are excluded.  VISIT www.indianaagd.com for COURSE OBJECTIVES!

The Indiana Academy of General Dentistry provides current and practical continuing education for dentists. Our events feature dental clinicians, academians, researchers, and practicing dentists who have demonstrated superior knowledge and skills related to the subject matter of each course.
