The Upper Cumberland CORE office is pleased to provide information about our upcoming RTI2 PLC series for the 2018-19 school year. This is a repeat session of the content offered during the school year.

We will discuss effective practices for math intervention and discuss specifics like: foundational skills, addition, subtraction, place value, multiplication and division. We will take a close look at the progession of mathematics in the K-5. These are the building blocks needed for math intervention to be successful. Participants will be able to identify effective Tier I and intervention practices and use this information to refine their instruction within their school or district.

This session's targeted audience is K-4 Tier I teachers, K-12 math interventionists, SPED interventionists, RTI Coordinators, principals and assistant principals.Administrators will have the opportunity to earn 12 TASL credit hours for attending both summer sessions. Teachers can earn 6 or 12 professional development points (PDP) for attending one or two days during the session series.

Training will be located at the Regional Health Department - 1100 England Drive, Cookeville, TN. Registration will begin at 8:00, and the sessions will be at 8:30 and end a 3:30 both days.

  • Afternoon Session - PLC 2  - Intervening for Foundational Skills and Addition with a focus on the CRA learning progression

  • Morning Session - PLC 3 - Intervening for Subtraction and Multiplication

  • Afternoon- Session - PLC 4 - Intervening for Division
