Join us for Work$mart, a workshop designed to help you negotiate for a new job, raise or promotion. Through facilitated discussion and role-play, you'll gain confidence and learn:

  • How to identify and articulate your personal value
  • How to develop an arsenal of persuasive responses and other negotiation strategies, including how to get a raise or promotion
  • How to conduct objective market research to benchmark a target salary and benefits
  • About the wage gap, including its long-term consequences

This workshop will be taught by Kelly Nevins, Executive Director of the Women's Fund of Rhode Island, a registered AAUW WorkSmart trainer.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Kelly Nevins
Executive Director

Kelly Nevins has been a leader in the RI nonprofit sector since 1990. She holds a Master's degree in Education, as well as in Leadership. The Executive Director of the Women's Fund of Rhode Island since 2016, Nevins often speaks about the status of women and girls, why investing in women pays off, and using a gender lens to create systems change.
