This 2 hour interactive training will feature local experts in substance abuse treatment, counseling, recovery and prevention.  You will leave with skills and tools you need to address substance abuse issues in your faith communities.

The agenda will include: 

Overview of mental health and addiction

Discussion of unique challenges of being a faith leader in the age of addiction

Signs and symptoms of substance abuse

Quick Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment Training with role playing (not full SBIRT training)

Resources for referral and prevention of substance abuse

Tools to implement in your faith community
