The All-Island Innovation Programme is an InterTradeIreland funded programme established to promote and encourage innovation across the island.

The first Innovation event of 2020 will be a lunchtime master class on March 23rd 2020 via webinar.  The mater class entitled "Harnessing open innovation: The practical experience of European SME's" will be delivered by Dr. Lawrence Dooley of Cork University Business School (https://www.cubsucc.com/faculty-directory/dr-lawrence-dooley/).

This Master Class (12.30pm-2.00pm) draws on the findings of the recent Horizon2020 INSPIRE research project (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/691440) which studied how OI is managed and organised in SMEs across Europe (>100 enterprise cases from low-tech to high tech).  Drawing on evidence of these and other SME cases, this session highlights multiple channels by which European SME’s have succeeded in leveraging Open Innovation for their benefit, including the various partner organisations engaged with, the barriers experienced and the critical success factors\capabilities developed to underpin collaborative success.  Finally, the session will conclude with presentation of a roadmap and support tools that can enable these capabilities within SME's across the island of Ireland.
