2176 - Seminar Room, Queen Margaret University, Musselburgh, East Lothian, EH21 6UU, United Kingdom.

In this workshop Oren will lead you through some of the fundamental concepts that he developed in a book he published in 2017 that bears the name of this talk.  In this book he explores what the concept and practice of education, curriculum and pedagogy look like when we investigate them from the perspective of the embodied mind.  The book develops the claim that the mind - our own mind - must become part and parcel of how we understand education. This is done by exploring the fundamentals of experience and then by developing three domains of what he refer to as "the inner curriculum" - embodied perception, me and I. This will not be a conventional frontal lecture. It will rely on various contemplative pedagogies that will involve you in the development of the argument of the book.
