This course provides insight into real-world applications of the FBI CJIS Security Policy, to include the following topics:

  • Agreements
  • Physical Security
  • Encryption
  • Two-Factor Authentication
  • and more

 

This course is designed for the agency CCIC Coordinator; for a more in-depth look at the CJIS Security Policy for IT specialists/Local Agency Security Officers, please see our course list for The CJIS Security Policy for IT Professionals.

Prerequisites: None.

Trainer: Ted DeRosa, CBI CJIS Compliance Officer

Students will attend a 2-hour class on these topics, after which they will be directed to take a 10-question exam to complete within two weeks. After the successful completion of the exam, the student will be issued a certificate of completion.

Course materials:  Materials will be posted to CJIS Portal closer to when the class is held, and all enrolled students will be notified.  

Please note: this course is limited to current employees and contractors of criminal justice agencies, and is not open to the general public.
