Seminar Description
The purpose of this course is to present a short historical review and to demonstrate the profound importance of the VO Star as a vision behavior pattern. The deep diagnostic and therapeutic modalities of the VO Star will be demonstrated. Many of the published material on the VO Star are limited to the interpretation and evaluation of phorias and asymmetry of the drawings. This pattern is useful in many more areas of Behavioral Optometry.
Not only does the VO Star show a binocular visual behavior pattern and the projection in space of the corresponding visual areas, but it also demonstrates the vision behavior in space and time. The VO Star provides an understanding of the case, and allows patient understanding and the acceptance of his problem. The test shows the progress and achievement evaluation of lens prescription and VT.
Pre-primary Star testing [given when the patient comes in the office before any other visual testing is done] and primary Star testing [done after the optometric evaluation is completed with or without the new Rx findings] gives the patient and the optometrist a pictorial documentation of the vision organization, structure and level of development. This protocol provides at least two VO Stars that we can compare. Many primary VO Star tests show more stress according to the 21-point visual analysis and other stress measurements.
The course will demonstrate how you can bring the diagnostic and therapeutic modalities of VO Star into your practice.
This seminar is suitable for both optometrists and vision therapists alike and we highly recommend you attend together!
