What is Qi Men Dun Jia?
Qi Men Dun Jia is one of the three most powerful oracles (San Shi)--Tai Yi, Qi Men Dun Jia and Da Liu Ren. Tai Yi is associated with heaven aspect and was used to divine the big events that happen with countries, war, natural disasters, etc. Qi Men is associated with the earth aspect; it was used for battle field situations and particularly suited for military action and strategies. Liu Ren is associated with the man aspect and is most suited for divining activities in human society level.
Qi means mysterious or strange. Men means door or gate. Dun means hiding or hidden, and Jia is the leader of the ten stems, which is the most important focus in this method.
San Shi originated from very ancient times in China and are the ancestors for the later derived divination, life reading or Feng Shui systems, such as Four Pilars, Wen Wang Gua divination, and Flying Stars systems. In old times, scholars attended imperial exams must master these methods. And Qi Men Dun Jia, being the methods particularly applicable to war fare in the battle fields, was considered the crown jewel of all divination methods.
What can Qi Men Dun Jia be used for?
Qi Men Dun Jia can be used in all areas of our modern life. Such as in business, borrowing and lending money, trading, debt collection, buying and selling; love and marriage, sickness and medicine, job seeking, promotion, lost or stolen properties, litigation, solving crimes, weather forecasting, and even games and Feng Shui.
Qi Men Dun Jia, in addition of providing rich and detailed information in divination, it also provides a way to plan strategies that can lead to more satisfactory outcomes. It is why it was used by the most capable of military strategists in the Chinese history to great advantage.

What will you learn in this seminar?
This course starts from the Xian Tian and Hou Tian Ba Gua which form the principal model of Qi Men Dun Jia. We will then discuss stems and branches and Jie-Qi. From this foundation, students will learn about charting the turning Qi Men chart and choosing the correct chart according to the most common method – Chai Bu Fa.
The most common Yong Shen representations of the nine stars, eight doors, the nine spirits and the stems and branches will be discussed in some detail.
The principal methods of interpreting QMDJ charts are introduced. They include
1. concepts of Host and Guest
2. timeliness
3. Interaction between palaces – the horizontal view
4. Interactions within a palace – the vertical view
5. Inside/Outside palaces – zoom-in and zoom-out
6. Ups and Downs
Methods of interpreting the charts are taught on various subject matters. They include the following subjects:

Part of the seminar will be taught through live examples to help the students to gain some experience on charts interpretation. You are encouraged to bring real life questions to the seminar for practice.
Master Eduardo Hess was born and raised in Rome, Italy. He started his study of Chinese metaphysics at a very young age of 11 by reading Yijing books on his mother’s bookshelves. This curiosity and interest for ancient knowledge from China continued to grow as he got older. While still in his teens, he started his life-long study and practice of Taijiquan and various other Chinese arts. Then in his thirties, a fateful event in his life led him to the study of Feng Shui. He has been practicing and teaching Feng Shui for more than a decade. Eduardo represents Master Joseph Yu, of the world renowned Feng Shui Research Center, to teach Qi Men Dun Jia.
Eduardo has gained an outstanding reputation in teaching Chinese Methaphysics in Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, in Israel and in Europe. It will be exciting for you to attend his class in UK.

This 4 day seminar is the first of a series which presents one of the most ancient and fascinating topic in Chinese metaphysics: Qi Men Dun Jia. The historical background will be offered as well as some biography about the most renowned masters in the past who used this art. QMDJ was designed mainly to match battlefield situations but has a lot to offer in today’s world. In this first session, we will introduce the building blocks that make up its integrated structure. We will touch on some of the most known areas of application and discuss some practical examples to demonstrate the richness of this method.
