The nationally recognized course code is HLTAID001 Perform CPR Courses (new national course code as of July 2011, formerly known as HLTCPR201B/A), but it is more commonly known as the CPR Update. There are no pre-requisites for this course, which means that you don’t need any other course qualification to enroll. This qualification is valid for one (1) year from the date of issue.
Apply First Aid Senior (HLTAID003) – The nationally recognised course code is HLTFA311A Apply First Aid (previous course codes are HLTFA301B / HLTFA301C), but it is more commonly known as Level 2 or Senior First Aid. There are no pre-requisites for this course, which means that you don’t need Level 1 first aid or any other course qualification to enrol. Perform CPR HLTAID001 is also a component of this course and is trained using all 3 sizes of manikins (adult, child, infant) as per 2011 ARC guidelines.
Covers the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults. Applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.
