Written and Proofreading Training Outline

Teach language basics to learners

This course will teach learners how to proofread and write English. It is also designed to help professionals in their fields or professions. When correcting text , even the most basic texts must be considered. Both the proofreader as well as the writer need to have a solid grasp of these fundamentals in order to succeed.

Pay attention to the various types of language they might encounter

No matter where they end, the many areas that a writer can find themselves in can be very different. The terms and jargon that are used in business will be very different from those used in advertising, medical, and legal worlds. There are also differences among businesses. Words and phrases that have a particular meaning in a business focused on food and catering may be very different from those used in a business focused on textile production. Our guidance will ensure that the proofreader and writer are well-aware of these subtle differences even before they complete our program. This will allow them to understand what their employer means in each text they process, regardless of their current position.

Speed and efficiency are key elements of the profession

Proofreaders, writers, and editors are often under constant pressure from tight deadlines and long materials that must be edited, watered-down, or otherwise perfected in order to be suitable for use or consumption by their employer or any other consumers. This is why learners will learn techniques and systems to promote high fidelity to their text and maximum efficiency. This will allow them to meet the enormous demands of their employers while maintaining quality.

Encourage Maverick thinking

Writers have the opportunity to improve the quality of their employer's work, make it more informative, more impactful or even more entertaining to readers. Our training course provides materials and systems to encourage creativity in our learners. The goal is to expand their vocabulary and be more creative with their work.
