PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXAM PREPARATION SESSION I
This semimar is organized by Cross Cultural Management, Grectech, and the Iraq Project Management Organization. It is the first of 18 sessions, each worth 2 hours of Professional Development Units which will prepare participants to take the Project Management Institute exam once they have finished a total of 36 hours.
What is the event all about?
A two hour learning event explaining the basic concepts of the field of Project Management from the eyes of Sheherazade, the fictional wife of the Sultan from"1001 Arabian Nights", who skillfully deployed project management techniques to stay alive for 1001 nights and win the Sultan's heart, when all her predecessor wives did not survive beyond that first night.
This scenario is written by Christopher Greco, a retired US Air Force Officer and a professional Project Manager with 40 years’ experience in military, private industry and public service. Chris will be delivering the seminar live from the headquarters of his company GRECTECH based in North Carolina, USA via WEBEX web conferencing technology to one of the conference halls at the Dedeman Hotel, Erbil.
Local facilitation and organization will be carried out by Cross Cultural Management and the Iraq Project Management (IPMO), an NGO with headquarters in Sulaymaniyah.
All attendees will receive formal certificates issued by GRECTECH awarding them 2.0 Contact Hours, which are recognized by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and will count towards the 35 hours training requirement mandated by the PMI for those wishing to take the Project management Professional (PMP) examination. For attendees in Erbil who are already members of the PMI, the 2.0 Contact Hours are equivalent to 2.0 Professional Development Units (PDU)s, which they will can use to maintain their PMP credential.
The “1001 Arabian Nights” webinar will cover the following:

- How the project manager monitors the project to achieve success
- How the project manager uses Agile methodology to ensure project completion
- When the project manager determines that project is completed
- How the project manager uses stakeholder satisfaction as a major component of project status
This will count as 1-hour contact for the PMP exam. The second hour will be based on group/team activities and prepartion of project presentations thata will be completed during the second hour of activities.
A certificate will be issued by Chris Greco through his company GRECTECH (the certificate will be for 2- hour contact). After application for the PMP, you will need 35 hours instruction
