Friday, 15 December 2023 9:00 AM - Friday, 15 November 2024 10:30 AM PST

All programs are struggling with our post-pandemic 'new normal'.  Our families and staff are stressed out and facing incredible challenges, and we're seeing it in how our Head Start/ECEAP kiddos are learning and growing in the classroom.

So how do we approach this 'new normal' and support children, families and staff alike?  How do we structure our classrooms when we're seeing more children developmentally behind or experiencing trauma?  How do we ensure that we are approaching our work with empathy and equity and getting positive outcomes for everyone?

We're delighted to partner with Lakeshore Learning to do a year-long professional learning community for education managers, coaches, center managers and supervisors, to learn, discuss and implement strategies for strengthening our classrooms and practice.  Teachers are invited too.

This PLC is online monthly, and the trainers are incredibly skilled.  You will get a lot from this!

Topics will include:

  • Setting Up a High-Quality Pre-K Environment
  • Effective Classroom Management: Building Better Routines
  • Social Emotional Development and its Impact on Learning in the Early Childhood Classroom
  • Pyramid Model: Setting Children Up for Success & Targeted Social Emotional Supports
  • Pyramid Model: Understanding, Preventing, and Responding to Challenging Behavior
  • Interactive Circle Time Routines
  • Designing & Implementing Purposeful Centers
  • Understanding Implicit Biases: Do We Really Have Them?
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Early Childhood Classroom

Join us for this incredible learning opportunity!
