A core principal and pillar of the QMU Student Experience Strategy is our belief in a student-centred approach to learning (QMU SES 2016 & QM150. 2016). Student-centred approaches rely on learner interaction in the construction of knowledge and the achievement of learning objectives. In response to learner demand and aging hardware, the Centre for Academic Practice alongside 58 tutors have implemented Poll Everywhere running 2,302 polls receiving 36,354 learner responses onsite, offsite and online.

The new BYOD polling solution has provided students the opportunity to post questions, create word cloud responses and pin point an answer on an image, all using their own browser, text or tweet.  This short session provides tutors the opportunity to go hands-on with tips on embedding polling into their learning sessions and get answers to questions.
