Arlington, Texas 76011

Program Description:

Your community may be prepared to lead your citizens safely through a natural disaster. But when the winds die down and the water recedes, what challenges should you still expect to face? This program will explore how human, economic and environmental systems are most likely to be affected by common North Texas hazards such as floods, tornados, fires and hailstorms. Participants will learn how advance planning, preparation and coordination between stakeholders in the public and private sectors can minimize damages and shorten the path to disaster recovery.

Speaker: Kimberly Miller, AICP - Texas Operations Manager/Senior Planning at Allen Engineering & Science

Lunch and Networking: 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Presentation: 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Lunch will be provided for those who register by July 24th.
