RECON G6 Signature Event
Since 1966, Sierra Trek has been a family fun inspired off road event. The 1:1 rigs drive the Fordyce Creek trail. Notorious for its winch hills and water crossings, the Fordyce Creek trail is one of the most scenic and iconic trails on the planet.
RECON G6 is honored to once again host a rc scale adventure event during the 50th Annual Sierra Trek. This rc scale adventure event is a Pit Bull RC Signature Event presented by AMain Performance Hobbies. It is the 3rd and final stop of the 2017 Pit Bull Signature Event Series. Come wheel the High Sierras with us and be part of Sierra Trek History as AMain Performance Hobbies will be documenting the event.

Mandatory Scale Requirements
-A tow strap is mandatory and will be used for a skills challenge.
-10 scale items are mandatory. Most ready to run or scale kits meet this requirement. Additional scale items can be a driver, bumpers, a pet, a spare tire, gauges, lights, bumper sticker, etc.
- A headlamp or flashlight is mandatory for every driver on the night stage. Lights on vehicles is optional, but highly recommended.
- A small kitchen trash/camp trash bag.
Not Mandatory, But Highly Recommended Requirements
-A scale phazer mounted in your truck is not mandatory, but highly recommended.
- A scale shovel, bucket, & ax is not mandatory, but highly recommended.
Raffle - There will be chances to win some great swag from our sponsors. Including a full size set of Pit Bull PBX-AT tires. You will receive one ticket with when you register. You may purchase additional tickets for $1 a ticket. The drawings begins immediately following the award ceremony on Saturday. Must be present to win. With the exception of the Pit Bull PBX-AT Tires. It is the sole responsibility of the ticket holder to ensure a good contact phone number is written on their tickets if they are not going to be present during the drawing for said tires.
Event Schedule:
Friday - 3pm to 6pm Early Driver Check In / On Site Registration is open.
7pm AMain Performance Hobbies Overland Challenge - This event will test your driving abilities in a multi-lap course. Driver Challenges may include building a fire with provided materials, constructing a usable scale bridge, or building a scale shelter. Bring your headlamp, this challenge may extend into the night.
Saturday - 8am to 9am Driver Check In / Registration is open.
9am - Exclusive RC Show & Shine & group picture.
930am - Drivers Meeting / National Anthem / PitBull RC Sierra Trekkies Adventure Stages open until 4pm
4:30pm - Driver awards & signature event raffle.
7pm - Tekin Trail Talk Driving Challenge - A special gated driving challenge to begin the night stage.
11pm - Night Stage Closed.
Sunday Funday - It’s up to you! Sleep in. Take a hike or if you haven’t gotten enough drive time, enjoy the beautiful Sierra Nevada terrain. There is a reason Sierra Trek is turning 50! Epic crawling can be had here.

RECON G6 Classes
The RECON G6 offers several classes for all ages to have fun participating in. The driver of each class that records their adventure in their driver log book, have a chance to earn a “Driver of the Day” award for that class, but remember the RECON G6 is not a competition; It’s an adventure. It is so much of an adventure, that “Finishing a RECON G6, is Winning a RECON G6”.
RECON Rascals Kid Classes - For 1.9 or 2.2 wheel/tire sizes. RECON Rascals will always be awarded a Driver of the Day award. This is no driver minimum to make a class.
“Mini Me” - Scale Adventure driver 3 to 6 years of age.
“We Cool” - Scale Adventure driver 7 to 10 years of age.
“Big Dog” - Scale adventure driver 11 to 15 years of age.
RECON G6 Adult Classes - For Drivers ages 16 thru 39 years of age. Classes are divided into wheel/tire size.
1.9 Scale Adventurer - The class for all 1.9 wheel/tire size scale adventure rigs.
2.2 Scale Adventurer - The class for all 2.2 wheel/tire size scale adventure rigs.
Drivin’ Diva Adventurer - The class for women drivers of all ages.
If there are 5 or more pre-registered drivers of the same wheel/tire size, Driver of the Day awards will be awarded in each class. If there are less than 5, the class will be combined wheel/tire size.
Veteran Adventurer - Scale Adventure drivers 40 to 55 years of age.
Senior Adventurer - Scale Adventure drivers 55 & over.
R.A.D. Class - Handicapable Scale Adventure drivers that use a wheelchair.
