Aaaaarrrrgh, Ahoy thar mateys!!  It’s time to sail the seven seas in search of adventure.  Who were the Pirates??  What is fact and what is fiction??  We will learn about these notorious figures while we also learn about ships, navigation and mapping. The final day of camp will culminate in a swim party for campers and their families.  Who knows….maybe someone will have to “walk the plank”. 

Class Projects will include:   ? Pirate flag craft ? Make your own “Pirate gear” ? Pirate map ? Scrimshaw ? Nautical Knots ? Astrolabe navigator  ? Sharks tooth necklace ? Treasure Hunt (complete with map and digging) ?  Swim party w/your mates
