'PAST' The Blackstone Gallery Annual Works On Paper 2022 Prize

Welcome to the 2022 Annual Blackstone Gallery Works On Paper Prize. This Year's theme is 'PAST'inspired by last year's winner artist Aidan Gageler for his work 'Collodin 1' which was made on historical photo archival paper from the 18th century.

What You Need To Know Before Entering

1. All works must be original, on paper and made within the last year.

2. Digitally illustrated art is not accepted 

3. Your work must use the theme 'Past' and may be presented in any medium and concept. 

4. Entry fee must be paid before you can submit you work. After entering please email your ticket registration to: blackstoneworksonpaperprize@gmail.com along with your entry or entries, a short bio, C.V and artists statment of your work. 1 x entry is $35 2 x entries is $50 3 x Entries is $60. Maxiumum 3 entris allowed. 

5. Image MUST BE LABLED IN THE FOLLOWING FORMAT: Surname, first name image title /dimmensions without frame ( if selected as a finalist we will require the dimmensions with frame at that point in time 

6. Entry image must be in good ligiting with two shots if possible showing work on a wall as well as a clear shot of  the work its self

7. Think 'Past' in broad terms. For example a still life of a plant you use to own, a story from your past, designs, decor and fashion of the past, historical figures and momnets of the past etc

   This year's prize pool is worth $4500 with the winner taking home $1000 cash and a sponsored solo exhibition for 1 month sponsored by Blackstone and Brokenwood Wines
