Gaines Tavern History
The Abner Gaines House / Gaines Tavern is located at 150 Old Nicholson Road, in Walton, Kentucky. This home/tavern has seen more than its share of tragedies over the years since being built in 1814 On July 26, 1899, the Boone County Recorder wrote in its paper an article about the home titled “House of Fate” Saying the house is most well-known for its murders and suicides that happened in the house or on the property, and how it was cursed and haunted. Today it is known by locals as "The Kentucky Horror House," or The Kentucky Murder-Suicide House” and believe that many of the restless souls of the dead have never left.

Barry “Bear” Gaunt, AKA the KY. TruthSeeker has been researching and investigating all paranormal fields since 1976. “Bear”, currently serves as Managing Director of the NightStalkers Paranormal Research Team, which researches and investigates Hauntings, UFO Reports, Alien Abductions, and Strange Creatures. He is a Paranormal Lecturer, on the topics of UFOs, Alien Abductions, Strange Creature, Hauntings, and Universal Consciousness. “He’s been featured on Radio, TV, Podcasts, Documentary Films, Magazines. He is a contributor to the books, “Willows Weep: The Beginning”, “Real West Virginia UFOs: Sightings and Close Encounters” by Author Dave Spinks, and “Historic Haunts of Sumner County, Tennessee” by Donna Lyn Hartley.
NightStalkers Paranormal Research Team is a team with well over a combined total of 145 years of experience in researching and investigating the paranormal. Along with Barry “Bear” Gaunt, the Team includes Lead Investigator Billy “EBG” Sims, and his wife Tonya Sims, who is an Investigator and, the team’s empath, and physic. Also, Billy and Tonya are Co-Host of the “INTO THE FIRE” Radio Show / Podcast. Melvin “Hound Dog” Brazzell, Is the team Case Manager, Lead researcher, and Investigator. Dave Spinks has been investigating and researching strange phenomena for over 30 years, due to several experiences he had as a young man.
