Today, the economy operates in real-time and fast speed, and the transport and logistic sectors/companies are becoming more efficient to meet customer needs, growing interdependence between processes and along the value chain or supply chain, and any growing risks associated. How does each industry strategise and improve its processes by incorporating IIoT, machine learning, autonomous capabilities, digital twins (to name a few)?
Digital transformation is essential in driving the transport and logistic sectors to be more efficient, and this is in line with the objective of the New Industrial Master Plan to develop and enhance Malaysia’s current capabilities, connectedness, and competitiveness (the 3Cs) and to prepare for the future 3Cs.
Covid-19 as a game-changer has catalysed many industries including transport and logistics to adopt or further improve on online communications, online transactions, remote working flexibilities, manufacturing, and service processes.
The pandemic may not be the only threat so how do industries prepare themselves for any future threats e.g. increase in cybersecurity breaches?
