Palm Stick Seminar

Guro Chris Thompson will once again be returning to the Upstate Kali club for another fun and immersive session on the Filipino Martial Arts. This time he will be covering the aspects of the Palm Stick.
Also known as olisi palad (palm stick), dulo dulo (one end to the other), and tabak maliit (small sword) the palm stick is an amazingly simple yet devastating tool for self-defense. It's shape and size can be readily found in every day objects such as flashlights, pens, cell phones, or other commonly found items from our modern society.
Primarily an impact weapon for targeting the sensitive areas of an opponent's body and limbs. It can also be used for trapping, submission control tactics, and as a 'force multiplier' to enhance one's empty hand skills.
In this session Guro Chris will go over the fundamental principles of using the palm stick for self defense. Sharing tactics that will allow you to not only understand how to use this tool. But also be able to effectively use it in a self-defense situation.
