A CHRISTIAN RESPONSE TO THE CRISIS: PRAYER, MINISTRY, MISSION and HAPPINESS Wednesday, July 22-Friday, July 24, 2020
God calls us. He calls us to pray and to work. He calls us to carry our cross and to follow him. He calls us to happiness. This retreat will address each of these spiritual foundations of life. We will look at prayer as the sustenance of our spiritual life and discover which is the greatest prayer of all. We will also explore what ministry and mission might mean for us, especially in this time of crisis. Finally, we will explore Jesus' call to happiness through his teaching in the Beatititudes. These elements are essential to a proper Christian response amidst the fears and concerns we may naturally have while traversing this global pandemic.
Fr. Angelus Echeverry has been a monk of Valyermo since 2011. He holds a Masters in Classical Music Composition and is currently Organist and Choir Master. He has a deep love for what he calls "The 4 M's of my life": Music, the Mystical Life, the holy Mystery we call Trinity, and Mary, the Blessed Virgin, Mother of God. To listen to Fr. Angelus' music, please visit: www.angelusecheverry.com
