This is a full-day class where you will learn how to paint a Blue Mountains scenery in oils

This class is good for beginners and anyone who wants to experiment with using oil paints. You will have a brief introduction about oil painting and the materials that we will be using. We will also talk about landscape painting and the approach.

You do not need to buy any materials as I will be providing them (all materials included).

Halfway through we will have a 45 min break. Lunch is not included.

Your teacher is COVID-19 aware

This means that this teacher won't run a class if they've had flu symptoms in the last 14 days, and will adhere to relevant state restrictions (e.g. on the maximum number of students per class)

All materials like brushes will be disinfected before and after the session.

Also, this class has a flexible cancellation/rescheduling policy, so participants are encouraged not to attend if they are unwell

What you will learn:
- How to understand colour: concepts of the colour theory and mixing and its application in the landscape
- Observing and painting approach to landscapes in oils, composition and creating depth using colour, tone and perspective
- Using underpainting and layering of paint while blending colours to create beautiful colours

Important information:
In this painting class, I do not use toxic turpentine. However, a minimal amount of odourless solvents are used. Please note that for safety reasons the painting class is not recommended for pregnant women.
