During the OCS camp players will be put through fundamental instruction for individual skills that are helpful within the team concepts. Players will be introduced to the team philosophy of the JV and varsity programs. Returning players will be given new concepts to advance the team philosophy. The team concepts that are covered include offensive and defensive transition, press and pressbreak concepts, half-court man offense, half-court zone offense, half-court defensive schemes, and rebounding structure. This camp is designed for girls that are interested in playing high school softball. Time: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Location: Troy Athens Softball Fields, 4333 John R Road, Troy MI 48085 Get ready for a phenomenal camp experience! *throwing technique to improve strength, speed and accuracy *hitting technique to improve power *infield/outfield techniques to help players get control of the ball, transfer & release quickly These are all skills that will be developed during the middle school softball development camp.
Time: 9:00am-12:00pm The OCS Team Camp is an essential tool for all high school players interested in playing varsity basketball at Oakland Christian. Players are placed within different team positions to see where they would help the program the most. This camp is the foundation of the upcoming season. This camp allows for individual instruction plans to be put into place as well as allow the teams to hit the floor running when the first day of practice arrives.
Time: 10:00am - 2:00pm Lancer Shooting Academy is designed for the development of shooting form and production. Each day the players will be drilled on the fundamentals of shooting form. Within the instruction time fundamental skill will be drilled through technique drills, development drills and competition. The goal is to provide 4 days of sound shooting development of which the athlete can build on. Camp will be directed by Coach Dennis Hopkins and Coach Jaret Thomas. Camp is open to OCS and non-OCS students.
This camp is designed for boys interested in playing varsity football. July 24-27 - 6:15-8:30pm
This camp is designed for girls interested in playing high school soccer.
