Northern Rivers Canopy Management Field Trip

Are you ready to undertake canopy management on your farm but don’t know where to start? Or do you just want to see a range of canopy management options?  

The Australia Macadamia Society and Marquis Macadamias are hosting a canopy management field trip focusing on options to manage mature trees to increase and maintain better productivity.

The field trip is open to everyone in the industry and will visit four orchards in the Northern Rivers. 

Hear from growers, consultants and farm managers about their experience in canopy management, see examples of the results and witness live machinery demonstrations by contractors and farm staff. Contractors and researchers will be present to answer any of your questions. 

Leaving your trees to age naturally will not improve productivity. Implementing sound canopy management strategies improves tree health and productivity, makes your orchard more resilient to climatic factors, improves pest and disease management and overall sustainability.
