The Naval Historical Foundation presents a two component program to look at early career experiences of the Navy's four Fleet Admirals.  This seminar was created in recognition of the Fleet Admiral Rank and will serve as academic lead-in to NHF's Five-Star Mess Night to take place on the following Saturday.  

First Component Presentations: (90 minutes) Four top naval historians will discuss early episodes of the careers of the four Fleet Admirals:

Dr. Scott Mobley- FADM Leahy

Dr. David Kohnen- FADM King

Author James D. Hornfischer- FADM Nimitz

Dr. Thomas Hughes- FADM Halsey

Second Component Roundtable: (75 minutes) Moderated by Dr. David Rosenberg to include presenters as well as senior leaders who can reflect on presentations and comment on how experience shapes worldviews and leadership philosophy. USNA Superintendent VADM Ted Carter and NHHC Director RADM Sam Cox have accepted invitations to join the roundtable.
