This year, New York Mortgage Coalition celebrates 25 years of work promoting homeownership. Created in 1993 through a shared vision by bankers concerned with community reinvestment, NYMC brought together banks and nonprofit housing counseling agencies to educate consumers about the process of homeownership and provided safe, affordable mortgages to low-, moderate- and middle-income families across the New York City metropolitan area.
To celebrate, we will gather on October 4th at WeWork Time Square to honor outstanding members, partners and supporters of the Coalition who have dedicated themselves and went beyond to achieve the mission of the Coalition. The evening will also have an open bar and hors d'oeuvres, music, chance to mingle with other attendees and raffle prizes, including the grand prize of two orchestra seats to Hamilton: the Musical.
Thank you for your support of the work of the New York Mortgage Coalition. We seek to amplify our voice and impact in the field of affordable homeownership for many years to come and we look forward to seeing you at the celebration!

The New York Mortgage Coalition (NYMC) is a nonprofit collaboration of financial institutions and community housing agencies focused on expanding the opportunity for responsible and sustainable homeownership to minority, and low and moderate income individuals and families in the five boroughs of New York City, as well as the surrounding counties of Nassau, Suffolk, Dutchess, Orange, Rockland, and Westchester. NYMC supports its neighborhood-based nonprofit members in their pre-purchase counseling, post-purchase education, and financial literacy programs. Coalition members provide the public with access to the tools to achieve the dream of homeownership including information on competitive, fixed-rate loans, closing cost grants, and down payment assistance. NYMC also supports its member agencies who play a leading role in preserving homeownership offering informational workshops and one-on-one counseling to troubled homeowners through foreclosure prevention programs.
